Seuss Outfit

Mia wore this outfit for Seuss Day.  I wish I had some of that cute Cat in the Hat fabric.  I didn't even have time to order any.  I gathered some fabrics and put them together to make something "Seusslike" that would work for her.

I love the color combination.

She loved getting her picture taken with the Cat.

A Few Sewing Projects

Wow!  I was able to get a picture of the girls looking in the direction of the camera at the same time...it doesn't happen often.  Brooke made this cute little craft from here.  So her embroidered shirt design from Digistitches was perfect.

How sweet!

Mia picked out the monkey fabric for her skirt with a monkey applique from Embroidery Boutique.  Of course, she made a Valentine box with monkeys on it too.

Mardi Gras Shirts and they're all set with beads to give to their friends.

Sock Monkey Outfit

Mia loves monkeys.  She wears her sock monkey slippers all the time.  When I saw this fabric, I knew I had to make her something with it.

The embroidery design on the shirt came from embroidery boutique.
Of course, she needed a matching bow.

Here's a pic of her being silly.

Knit Skirt for School

This skirt was inspired by a picture I saw in a magazine.

I like how the angled pieces give the skirt a different look.

Owl Outfit

I'm so excited!  I finally got this Dancer Skirt Pattern.  I shirred the waist but the pattern gives you different options.   The applique on the shirt came from designs by juju.

Really...the orange on the owl applique isn't as bright as it appears in this picture.

Mia loves the attached shorts.

Another Reversible Skirt

My daughter calls this her "flip skirt".  It's actually called the Claire Linn Reversible Waveland Skirt.  I was thinking, this will be great for 2 outfits on different days.  Elise had something else in mind.  She wore the lion side for half a day.

Then she wanted it flipped to wear the giraffe side the other half of the day.

Knit Top

I made this bright knit top when I got to test sew this pattern.
It's a comfy and perfect shirt for summer.
Since the colors reminded me of a watermelon,
I got some coordinating fabrics and made a matching skirt.

Reversible Waveland Skirt

I'm so excited that I got to test this skirt pattern.  I can't wait to make more.  The fabric combinations are endless and I love the wavy bottom edge.

Just flip the skirt for a different look and design.  Fun, fun, fun!

The bold bright colors are perfect for summer.

Soccer Girl

Elise wants to play soccer.  She won't be wearing this when she plays but I knew exactly what I was going to make when I saw this fabric.
The soccer ball came from here.  I used the felt stitchie from this site to make the bow. Since I'm obsessed with making hair bows, I have all of the felt stitchies.  They are so fun to make and my girls love wearing them.

Wild About Fancy Nancy

Mia loves Fancy Nancy.  Each time a new book comes out...we have to get it.  When she saw this fabric at Joann's she wanted it and was so delighted when it came home with us.  She was even more excited when I finished her Fancy Nancy outift!

I love her expression in this pic.

Butterfly Skirt and Shirt

Brooke picked out the pattern and the fabrics for this outfit.

The buttefly applique is from Lynnie Pinnie.  I just love all her appliques.  They stitch out great everytime.
The dinky dot alphabet came from here.  It's the first time I used one of her designs and I wasn't disappointed.  I'm sure I'll just have to visit her site for more fun things.
